Welcome to Lou's Arcade!
Most people in this hobby collect and restore these (soon to
be ancient) arcade machines because they're trying to
re-capture something from their youth.  I'm no exception and
have been acquiring machines from the early 80's, which
was  a carefree and memorable time in my life.  If  you ever
wore OP corduroy shorts, listened to Heavy Metal or New
Wave, played an Atari console,  wore checkered Vans and
pedalled your Mongoose or Schwinn cruiser down to
Shakey's Pizza or 7-11 to play  vids, then you know what I'm
talkin' about!

For me the pursuit started in 1997 in my search for a game
called TRON.  The movie was a hit for me because of my
love of computers and of course the special FX.  My first
experience with the game was back in the 82' at
Disneyland's Starcade.  They had about 50 or so machines,
all lined up there with overhead monitors.  When I heard
about arcade auctions, I knew I had have one... The rest of
the arcade obsession is history.

About a couple years ago I had gotten into late 80's and
early 90's pinballs.  I had acquired about twenty pinballs.
Now things have changed again, and I'm back into video
games.  There was a time when I had about 45 arcade
cabinets, and was just overwhelmed.  I ended up selling
most of the expendable games off, because I never had the
time to get them all running.  Anyways, I think  I've found the
right balance of video games (both raster and vector) and
pinballs to keep me happy.  I have a few machines to sell,
but I finally figured out what machines are here to stay in
Lou's Arcade.
  • 1/29/08: Missile Command Mini Acquisition - Picked
this up for free at the Super Auctions.  Sure it has a
sunroof, but I miss MC so much and thought this
    would be a fun restoration.
Current News:

  • 1/01/08:  Space Duel Restoration Completed - I've
had this cab for about 6 months now, and finally got
the monitor working and all the parts to add this to
    the arcade.
  • 2/9/08: Wow! My pinball row is finally complete!
Picked up this Addams Family in trade and spent all
day Saturday re-arranging the row.  You can see the
final layout in the pictures on the right.  I don't think
it's going to deviate from this for a long while...
